Mathematics Platform
I believe in
being the guide for my student’s mathematics instruction, being there for them
when they need support, but having them facilitate their own learning. I also
believe in making math problems that are culturally responsive and relevant to
my student, helping them connect to and make meaning of the material. I think
it is important to allow students to use manipulatives and strategies that they are comfortable
with for solving mathematics problems. Lastly, I want to foster a love of mathematics
and learning in my students, motivating them to excel academically.
