I was born and raised in Florida and I couldn't imagine living anywhere else, I love it here. I love the beaches, and the endless sunshine. Although I do love living in Florida, I also love to travel and see new places. Just this past year, we visited Chicago, Illinois and New York City! It is a dream of mine to visit all 50 states! Another perk about living in Florida is being surrounded by water, which fostered my love for kayaking, snorkeling, and swimming. Every year, my family kayaks down the Weeki Wachee River. Our new favorite thing to do is tube down Rainbow River. I also enjoy bowling. I was on a league for 7 years and on my high school team for 2 years.
Ever since I was young, I has always been my dream to become a teacher. I remember playing teacher with my dolls as a young girl and thinking that I was going to become a real teacher one day. And here I am now, years later, finally fulfilling that dream!
Another experience of mine further impacted my decision to become a teacher. I got the opportunity to volunteer and work at The Salvation Army Summer Camp for 4 years. It was there that I truly discovered my passion for helping children. Working closely with a group of campers for 4 years, I formed a relationship with them. Because of this they helped me uncover my strengths as a teacher, letting me know that teaching was the right path for me.
